In this video I demonstrate 4 similar linear fills using paradiddles separated by 2 kick drum hits. All of the fills start on 1+ (or just before if you count the bass drum) and illustrate how you can develop a rhythmic idea by slightly changing the phrasing, such as omitting the double stroke of a paradiddle or playing an extra double stroke to make a paradiddle-diddle.
