At the end of last year, I recorded and filmed 3 drum playthroughs from the new Dyssidia album which was released in late November. The first one is out now - it’s for the track ‘A Statue of Time and Depth’ which is the most progressive and technical track on the album. A fair chunk of this song is in 11/16, with some 7/8, 5/8 and even some 4/4 in there as well!
A big thanks to Morris Ewings for recording the drums, Greg Pikl for mixing and Sven Hentschel for filming and editing the playthroughs which look great! If you would like to improve your progressive and/or metal drumming, or if you are a complete beginner looking to learn the drums, please feel free to get in touch regarding drum lessons via phone or email - 0403 751 774 / liam.weedall@gmail.com. I have been teaching drums in Adelaide for more than 17 years and am now based in Para Hills.
